Cooking Light: January Goal: More Fruits and Vegetables

Cooking Light has a great new program Twelve Healthy Habits.  I love how they help you make a change each month.  This month’s challenge is Eat More Vegetables and Fruits.

Check out the website for great tips and even a tracker you can use.  There are some great resources for overcoming challenges.

So the goal this month I’m chalenging everyone on is: Eat at least 3 servings fruits and vegetables per day.  If you eat one per meal, you’ve done great!  An even better goal is 5 per day, but if you are currently eating none per day, getting in 3 is great!  So consider adding some fruit at breakfast, a veggie at lunch, and a veggie at dinner.  If you are a snacker, add in some fruit or veggies there.  Hopefully by eating more fruits and vegetables, you are decreasing your intake of processed, unhealthier foods.
